What we do?
The embassies and consulates promote economic and trade relations between the Netherlands and other countries in order to help the Netherlands become more competitive. They also analyze developments in the host country’s economy, and they report to The Hague about the local investment climate, trade and economic policies, and trends in markets of potential interest to Dutch exporters.
Through its international network, the Dutch Diplomatic Missions and Netherlands Business Support Offices -acting closely with the NL Agency - is able to provide useful business leads and contacts.
The NL Agency is a bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. It is the central organ of the Dutch government responsible for promoting the international presence of Dutch companies in foreign markets and for supporting private sector development in emerging markets. The agency provides Dutch companies with information and services critical for the pursuit of new opportunities in all markets. Additionally, it also provides financial support for activities contributing to sustainable private sector development in emerging markets.
Most Diplomatic Missions and Netherlands Business Support Offices have staff available who can help you with trade requests or introduce you to the different trade programmes.
Extensive information on doing business can be found on the website.
You can also always contact a Dutch mission abroad.
