Foreign minister Bert Koenders and travel expert Floortje Dessing have launched a new central helpline for travellers. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs can now be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week at +31 247 247 247 for practical travel tips and assistance. Travellers abroad can also contact the Ministry online and via Twitter. It is estimated that about 3,000 people per day will use the new services.
The European Union Film Festival is back to Dhaka once more. For the third time in three years, the EU Film Festival will bring diverse array of European movies to the audience in Bangladesh. From 3 – 11 December, movie goers in Dhaka will have the opportunity to experience Europe and its culture without travelling long journeys and visa free! The Star Cineplex at Bashundhara City will as usual host the festival, which will showcase 15 movies from 14 European countries.
